HOW CAN I APPLY FOR ADSL?
You can apply for a new DSL line by calling our customer care, reaching us on social media, or online here. Switch Telecom will perform a feasibility study and will handle all the paper work for you in order to get you the service.
WHAT DO I TO GET DSL?
You will have to use DSL modem that connects the DSL line from your telephone jack to your computer.
WILL I NEED AN ADDITIONAL TELEPHONE LINE TO HAVE THE DSL SERVICE?
No. DSL operates over your existing telephone line .It should be a working landline number in order to be eligible to subscribe to the DSL service. You can talk on the telephone or send and receive faxes while connected to the Internet. In case you already have a separate internet line from MOT, you can request your DSL service to be activated on it.
DOES MY PHONE LINE SUPPORT HIGH SPEED?
The Speed of the line depends on a technical feasibility.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO HAVE MY DSL SERVICE GET INSTALLED?
Usually four to eight weeks.
HOW CAN I UPGRADE, DOWNGRADE AND FREEZE MY DSL ACCOUNT?
You should send a request to support@switch.net.lb with your username and telephone number. Upgrade downgrade and freezing are effective at the beginning of the following month.
Upgrade and downgrade fees are $4.
Freezing fees are $7.
WHEN AND HOW CAN I CANCEL MY DSL ACCOUNT?
Account cancellation can be done after one year by sending a request to Support@switch.net.lb with your username and telephone number as well as the date of cancellation.
Cancellation fees are $10
WHAT IF I WANT TO CANCEL BEFORE ONE YEAR OF MY ACCOUNT ACTIVATION?
You must return the modem and pay for the free refills in order to issue a clearance form from Switch Telecom; otherwise you won’t be able to apply for DSL anywhere.
DOES MY USAGE GET RESET BY THE BEGINNING OF THE MONTH?
Yes, it gets reset by the beginning of every month
HOW MANY DEVICES CAN BE CONNECTED TO THE MODEM?
Many devices depending on your modem capacity but it will affect your speed.
HOW TO CHANGE THE WI-FI PASSWORD?
You need to access the modem configuration interface. Changing wireless password cannot be done from Switch Telecom side. Call us to guide you through the steps or to send you our professional team.
WHAT IS A DSL FILTER?
A DSL filter prevents signals or echoes from an analog device from compromising performance and causing connection issues with DSL service. It blocks interference between devices and the DSL service on the same line, which, at the top or bottom or their frequency range, can disrupt your DSL Internet connection.
WHAT IS A "FAIR USAGE POLICY"?
The Fair Usage Policy is applied only to DSL unlimited accounts packages. (Free Unlimited night traffic between 1:00 am and 8:00 am.)
Since Customers share internet connections, Fair usage policies limit the usage of one user over another at peak times so that the performance is not affected for the rest of the group. The system tend to group people according to usage, so people who download all the time are grouped together. This will allow the light user download speed not to be affected by the heavy downloaders which will keep the quality of service fair for all. The process of switching an account from light user to heavy user or vice versa is done automatically by the system and it does not work on a fixed quota or time value but it depends on the amount of traffic for each user.
